Heeyy there lovey!

Let's talk bubbly, bright, annoyingly watchful little people, i.e. my daughter. -__- This is beautiful little trickster below is her. Ladies and Gents, boys and girls, laddies and lassies, introduciiiinng Princess Ally 

 

If you're like me with a daughter of your own then you know that anything you do, your daughter is going to do, want to do, and of course inevitably will do then you, chickadee, have a "Mini Me". My mini me requires that I do her hair over and over again, places stickers everywhere to have tattoos like Moma, and of course I have to do her nails thus the "mini mani" LOL!

Okay, so I've been dealing with some personal things and had to take a break from my blog... for a year or so. Yeah, I know -_-

Anywho... I have still been taking care to maintain my nails however I haven't been able to keep track of all of my pictures =(

Day 13: Cheer Yourself Up Mani

I'm not going to even begin to talk about my absence lol. So let's just get into it. I saw the mani challenge for today and thought AWESOME!! ...Now what am I going to do? LOL A lot of things cheer me up and and I'm like all over the place... So wait, what's the problem? Why shouldn't my nails be?! That is the challenge after all right? SO my mani is bright, bold colors, sparkles, glitter, and rainbows!! YAY me! LOL

Then this. I'm just lost.

First off my nails were in horrid shape before hand... My pinky nail just broke off while I was removing the polish... My thumb has been like this for weeks. I think it happened when I was making a bow... Glue gun on the nail might do that to you lol

IDK what happened!! =(

Since I had been neglecting my poor nails and I previously used Plum Luck, I decided to give them a good cleaning, ie a brightening and strengthening bath with Peroxide and Baking Soda. It works girls!! It takes no time in comparison to the time we actually take on our manis.

1 tbsp of peroxide, 2.5 tbsp of baking soda, mix and let it set for a min, put the paste on each nail and let sit for 5mins

 After I rinsed, I added in a cup of hot water, stirred and let my nails soak for about a minute to soften my cuticles and give them a little extra oomph!! =) Definitely recommend giving it a try!

Shout out to Mean Girls! LOL Okay, today was my son's turn to pick a lacquer from the Nicki Collection & he surprised me by picking Pink Friday instead of Did It On 'Em [because green is his favorite color] but he so sweetly said, "Because you like pink, Moma." =) SOooooo without further ado, here we go!!

OPI Metallic 4 Life *Updated*

Happy Tuesday! It's a bit better than Monday right? Plus there's ...ME!! Here to brighten your day! LOL

ANYHOO! As I promised on yesterday's post [OPI Nicki Minaj Swatches], I would do hand swatches based on which lacquer my husband like best out of the collection. He chose Metallic 4 Life because he says it looks grey... Gray is favorite color. I GUESS it could look grey to a man's uncaring/weird eye(s). LOL

Metallic 4 Life is a gorgeous, look at me black jelly based lacquer dosed with small & medium round & hexagon silver glitters. Very pretty. I typically don't like black & glitter, not really sure why but I just don't but this I love. The application went on smoothly for me. I've read some complaints about the application, the glitter itself, and/or the roughness of the finish. I haven't had any of those problems. No clumps, no glitter hangovers, and after a topcoat, a nice sheen.

OPI Nicki Minaj Swatches

Anyone that knows me knows that I love Nicki & that I was one of the crazies online crashing MAC's website trying to get the Limited Edition Pink Friday lipstick [Which I DID! LOL] So you know when I heard about OPI & the head HB collab, I freaked! LOL I did not get them when they first came out because I could not find them in the stores so eventually I gave into eBay & they arrived today!!! EEEEEEEEKKK!!! *Breathes*
